Frequently Asked Questions
We recommend that you begin shopping for your dress at least 8-12 months before your wedding. Depending on your gown, it can take up to 6 months for it to arrive with an additional 6 weeks for any alterations needed.
Yes. Birch On Main operates on a by appointment basis only so that we can focus on providing a personal and exceptional bridal experience. Booking is easy and you can do it online or over the phone. We are always here to help, email info@birchonmain.com, or call 256.270.8895
Our bridal appointments are thoughtfully designed to give you the best experience possible. Our Basic Bridal Appointment is 90 minutes, while our Exclusive Bridal Appointment is a full 2 hours. You can also schedule accessories, moms, tux/Suit and bridesmaids appointments, please visit our Appointments page for more details!
Our gowns range in price from $1,900 - $7,000 with the majority falling between $2,000 - $4,000.
The majority of our gowns fall between sizes 8-14 with the ability to special order smaller or larger sizes. We also carry a curvy line with gowns falling between sizes 18-24. We can always accommodate your perfect size!
We recommend bringing any undergarments you feel most comfortable in. Most of our clients wear nude pieces and bring a strapless bra and spanx. We recommend light makeup and a hair clip/tie. Please do not spray tan less than 48 hours before your appointment.
Once you have decided on your dream dress, we will take all your measurements and place the order. With this step, we require a 60% deposit. When your gown arrives we will notify you right away and schedule your first look appointment. OR we can ship the gown directly to you for an extra fee. We recommend scheduling your first look with us as we can help you decide if you need alterations, help you learn to bustle your gown, and give you all of the wedding day tips you may need. Our team is here for you every step of the way!
We carefully measure you and order your gown as close to your size as possible; however, alterations are almost always needed to ensure the perfect fit (not including any custom changes). We’re happy to provide recommendations for trusted seamstresses we work with regularly, but you are welcome to use a seamstress of your choice. Please note that alterations are a separate service and fee, paid directly to the seamstress.
We kindly ask for at least 48 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. Cancellations made with more than 48 hours’ notice will not incur a fee, and we are always happy to find a new time that works for you.
Appointments canceled within 48 hours will be subject to a $100 cancellation fee. As a small, intimate boutique, we offer a limited number of appointments each day, and our waitlist is often eager to fill any openings. Last-minute cancellations prevent us from accommodating another bride who is excited to find her dream dress.
We completely understand that unexpected situations can arise, and we are always here to help however we can.
All of our gowns are made to order specifically for each bride, and therefore all purchases are final sale. Birch On Main does not offer exchanges, returns, or refunds on bridal gowns, bridesmaid dresses, mother of the bride or groom attire, tuxedo purchases, or accessories once an order has been placed.
Absolutely! We love helping our brides complete their look with the perfect accessories, thoughtfully chosen to complement both your gown and your wedding day vision. You are more than welcome to bring your dress with you to try on during your appointment, ensuring your veil and jewelry come together exactly as you’ve envisioned.

Our Sample Sale experience is perfect for brides dreaming of a luxury gown at an exceptional value. While Birch On Main specializes in made-to-order bridal, we host one exclusive sample sale each year at our boutique.
In addition, all of our off-the-rack and sample sale gowns are available year-round through our sister store, Amari Bridal—Huntsville’s only off-the-rack bridal boutique.
At Amari Bridal, you’ll find a beautiful selection of designer gowns in pristine condition, typically retailing between $2,000–$6,000 and offered at heavily discounted prices. These gowns are ideal for brides who typically wear sizes 4–12, and the best part—you can take your dress home the very same day.
